Freshman Team

Game 1: The freshman teams opened their seasons this past week against the Cougars of Shawnee Mission Northwest. The Freshman “A” team came away with a 37-33 win. They were lead by Max Nelson (11 pts, 8 rebounds, 3 steals), Gunnar Englund (7 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 steals) and Max Danner (5 pts, 4 rebounds, 2 charges). The “B” team lost a close one 39-42 and were led by Max Byers with 12 pts. and 7 rebounds and Michael Moedritzer with 10 pts.  The next freshman games are tonight at East!

Game 2:  The freshman “A” team won a close battle at home against the Raiders from SM South. Two players led the Lancer scoring with nine points, Max Danner and Max Nelson. Danner added 11 rebounds and took two charges, while Nelson added 5 more rebounds. Max Byers added 8 points and Gunnar Englund contributed 5 points, 5 assists and 3 of four free throws to seal the win. Off to a 2-0 start for the freshman “A” team!  ”B” team results to follow soon.
